This module looked at the issue of materiality in architecure - under the peculiar conditions of the 'architecture exhibition'. What happens to the reality and 'authenticity' of buildings, when they become the subject of the museum industry?

This design project evolved through studies of the work of architect Tadao Ando—the heightening of a persons awareness by the amplification of a number of sensory experiences. This approach was used to contrast sensory experiences within two areas of Nottingham's city centre—a busy public square and an adjacent private garden.
