In summary, the thesis project which will result from the brief will demonstrate how a new urban housing typology can be used, in whole or in part, to regenerate a site suffering from the typical isolation problems that have begun to be discussed in this document. The vehicle to achieve this goal will be Frog Island, Leicester. It is anticipated that the project will result in a detailed scheme for the regeneration for part or parts of Frog Island site which include proposals for contemporary urban housing.
